What impact on the family (or the workplace) have changes in gender roles had?

Familes now have both father and mother working. The mother used to be a house mom to take care of the kids and the house while the father was out making the money. Now fathers can be the stay at home father who takes care of the children and house while the mother goes out and makes the money. More and more women are finding jobs away from home. Women are being able to be in higher command even over some men. Starting to get to equality but at the same time we will probably never reach it.

19.Should imports of foreign cars or other foreign products be limited or restricted by law?

No, they should not be limited or restricted by law. We have tons of kid toys that are not made in the united states. They are usually from china. Even some of the clothes people where now are not even from the united states. Cars are another thing we import from other countries. Also some countries have resources the united states don't have much or any of. If we do end up limiting or restrict imports would be a dumb decision. The U.S would most likely end up suffering in the end.

18.Should public servants (like school teachers, hospital workers, trash collectors) have the right to strike?

I belive they should be able to strike. I don't see why they could not strick. All kinds of people do it all over the world. Students even do it at college schools. It is there job and if the company they are working for is being unfair, uneqal, or discrimination they have a right to fight back.

Should adoption records be open rather than sealed?

This one it depends really on what way you look at it. If i was the kid being adopted and I had a couple of rough familys who adopted me I wouldn't like the new adoption parents to know about them. I would just want to know me as a child.
If it was from the parent side it would be different. I would like to know about the kids records of being a trouble maker or not. Kids would just act nice to get adopted then once adopted turn mean.
This one depends on what side you look at the adoption. The kid side against the parent side of adoption. I think this is what the question is asking.

Should newspaper reporters be required to reveal their sources?

I believe they should tell the source of thier information. Other wise they will just make a bunch of stuff up to get popular and get the money from newspaper reporters. It someone did a really horrible story it could make a company or a person look extremly bad and could also give the news paper companies a bad reputation. They if they did the people could get their own opinion on the story by the source.

Should sex and violence on television or in the movies be restricted?

No they should not be restricted. That is why television and movies have these awesome but yet pain in the butt things call ratings. This makes it so younger kinds can't go see a horrible, sexual, or scary movie without parent or guardian there with them at that time. I remember when my friends and I tried to go see awesome movies but it was rated R so we couldn't get in. Then you have the kids that get tickets for a different movie and go movie hopping. If they restrict sex and violence they should take of movie ratings as well. Seems like it will be a pain for everyone in the end.

Should bartenders be held responsible for the behavior of their patrons?

My opinion is that they should not be held responsible for a person's behavior. The person acting in a bad or good behavior is responsible for themselves. They are grown ups why should someone else be responsible for them. People should know their alcohol limits they can take, so they don't cause a ruckus or destroy anything. The only two things a bartender should be responsible is to make people their delicious drinks and to check everyone's I.D. They need to check I.D.’s so that there are no minor drinking any alcohol in their establishment because that could ruin the business. Also make the drinks, if no drinks people don't come so no sales to keep up the business.

To what extent should bilingual education be offered in public schools?

Alternate languages should be offered in school all the time. They should be offered from kindergarten till 12th grade in high school. Being bilingual would help everyone and not be such a hassle. Be easier to talk to everyone else. I see that having other languages offered to kids through their school years will be a great benefit to the children. It will help the kids later on in their life and in when they are even in college. United States is considered the melting pot so there are people from all over the world. Knowing more languages you can communicate with the other people. In the end having extra languages available for children through out all of their school will be a positive thing for the world. It wouldn't harm the world at all. It would even give more oppertunites for teachers to work in a school with extra language classes.

Should a rating system be required for song lyrics?

There should be no rating required for song lyrics. If they end up getting a rating system like video games that would be so silly of a thing to do. There is already like a half fast rating system of lyrics. Explicit and Non-explicit songs. There is either songs with curse words or songs with no curse words. The radio already edits songs that are explicit and would be bad to air on their radio stations. If people don't like a song they can easily change the radio channel. It is as easy as hitting one simple button to change the station. Seems like it would put a bunch of pressure on artists and they wouldn't make as good as music they do now. Seems like a giant hassle to deal with if they did make one. For me it would make music different and also different to listen to becuase of the rating.

Should children be required to attend school past the age of sixteen?

My opinion is yes they should. The child's brain is still growing and can take in valuable information. Seems like a dumb idea to not attend school. Knowledge is power. Having knowledge will help you later on in life.
It could end up helping you get a better job in life. Even in a game show like who wants to be a million air or jepordy. Yeah kids may think school is boring and dumb but it will help them later on in life.

Should English be declared the official language of the United States?

I think that it should be delared the officical language. There are around 50 countries around the world who has english as an official language. The United States is not one of them. Even in 1780 John Adams was pushing to make english the official language of the United States. Americans been here since Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. People who make an attempt to have english the official language of the U.S. have had no successs. Even though the United States is considered a "melting pot" I still think that it should have and official language and it should be english.

Should tobacco companies be held responsible for smoking-related illnesses and deaths?

I would say no to this question. Everyone has a choice to smoke or use the tobacco companies product. The tobacco companies also have warning lables on the packages of their products to tell the consumer what harms it causes to the human body. Having the warning lables on the products protects the tobacco companies. On the other hand you would also have to think about the alcohol I think alcohol causes illnesses and death and I haven't heard anything about holding alcohol companies responsible for illness or death.
In the end the companies should not be held responsible and it is the consumers choice to use the product the companies are selling to the public.

"The Man with the Golden Voice"

I am glad for Ted. The first time I seen this guy was when a friend was on youtube and told me to watch this video. I thought it was awesome how good he was. That video of him blew him up. Ted has gotten really popular and I have heard that he anonces the a football team in the NFL. I don't recall what team though. I hope Ted's life turn's around for him and he has a good life. Very cool that the news like NBC and stations allowed him to be reunited with his mom after ten years.
